Unpretentious lounge furniture with great ambitions

With the modular Space sofa,  the homely interior is really moving outside. A voluminous, soft spreader of cosiness made for relaxation, informal get-togethers and “me” time in the open air. As an added bonus, Space can easily grow as needed – or be converted into a sun lounger.

Design should feel good. And Space doesn’t just look like a sofa that you would expect to see inside the living room. Its fabulous, soft surface also feels like a sofa you’ll want to laze around on for the rest of the day. With the development of the new, extra-soft textile Cane-line AirTouch, Cane-line has drawn on more than 30 years’ experience of creating maintenance-friendly outdoor furniture. The result is an ultra-soft and UV-resistant surface that repels water and dirt, upholstered around a core of QuickDryFoam®, which works by keeping rainwater away so that the sofa is soon ready for use again after a downpour. All that remains for you to do is to sit back and enjoy life and the nature around you.

Craftsmanship that requires precision and experience Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen MDD, the designers behind a string of Cane-line classics, have designed Space. The designer duo visits the factory a couple of times a year to refine products, adapt prototypes and develop their designs in close cooperation with the craftsmen in the factory. “Space has visible seams that highlight the beautiful soft shapes of the design” says Johannes from Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen MDD.

In addition to the visible seams, the low back and rounded shapes help give Space a light and unpretentious look. And because outdoor spaces are as different as people, the sofa can of course also be pieced together in countless ways. The armrest can, for example, be replaced by a side table top in teak or white Cane-line HI-Core. Or an entire back cushion can be swapped with a teak board, turning the sofa into a unique sun lounger with built-in space to put things on. The only challenge is that it will probably be difficult to settle for just one!
