Smiths Beach

This Smiths Beach project, a collaboration with Mint Design and TLC Pools, beautifully illustrates how a thoughtfully designed outdoor space can enhance a coastal lifestyle. The client desired a welcoming area for friends and family, with a particular emphasis on entertaining grandchildren, making a pool a central feature.


To overcome the site’s challenges, such as a significant level change and the need for retaining walls, Mint Design expertly crafted a space that seamlessly connects with the home. A breezeway, designed by Neil Architecture, provides easy access from the living areas, while carefully selected plantings soften the imposing walls and introduce a sense of lushness.

Recognizing the coastal location, the garden design incorporates native and Mediterranean plants that thrive in salty air, ensuring a beautiful and resilient landscape. Touches like a curved retaining wall, echoed in the decking and bench seat, add visual interest and soften the overall design.


To complement this stunning setting for the photoshoot, we provided the Breeze Lounge Chair, Breeze Highback Chair, and On-the-Move Side Table. These pieces, with their relaxed yet sophisticated aesthetic, invite leisurely afternoons spent enjoying the pool and garden, perfectly embodying the client’s vision of a vibrant and welcoming outdoor haven.
