Comfort

Rattan is an incredibly fast growing palm, which makes it a very sustainable material. The outer layer of the rattan plant is peeled off and used for weaving. Manually

The Rattan stems are cut manually in the jungle, meaning the harvest does not damage the flora and fauna in any way. For the locals, rattan is an alternative to cutting down the rainforest around them.
