Menu Chunk is a series of raw and robust candleholders for regular candles. 3 different kinds of material in 3 different sizes, ready to mix, match and mismatch just as you like. Marble, wood and concrete holders with copper or bras tops. The mix of the raw base and the shiny glowing tops gives the Chunk variants a rough and romantic look. As the candle burns down the light will reflect in the brass or copper top and give a beautiful glow. Perfect for dinner tables, wedding gifts, windowsills.

Andreas graduated in 2000 with a Masters degree in Design, and the same year he founded “Norway Says”. In 2009, after 6 successful years as a company, Andreas Engesvik went solo and founded his new studio “ANDREAS ENGESVIK, OSLO”.
His studio is working in various fields of design ranging from furniture and tableware to industrial design for various international clients, and he does so very well as a selection of his awards are: Red Dot Award 2012, IF Product Design Award 2010, Wallpaper design Award 2009, (best light) 2009, Torsten & Wanja Søderberg Award, Sweden 2007, Wallpaper design Award 2004, (best sofa) 2004, and The Bruno Mathsson Award, Sweden 2004.
Howdy Owls started as a collaborative project between the design agency Stokke-Austad and Andreas Engesvik, Oslo. Andreas Engesvik, “We wanted to work with sculpture without any specific function other than the purely decorative. This was a genre that was unexplored in our discipline and field. This renewed interest in the field of craftsmanship, tradition, and new categories brought us into areas and expressions that we want to explore further. Thus, reducing the gap between industrial design and what we know as arts and crafts”.
Originally, the owls were made on the occasion of an exhibition to Designblok in Prague, but they went much further than Prague, when MENU launched the owls in 2011.
